Summary meeting in Brussels (July 2023)
Greece and Germany decided to have one last meeting of our two schools in Brussels, because of missing mobilities. Wher
e can you learn more about “European Future – Skills” than in Brussels.
Our programme was very varied. Informative, warm receptions at different institutions in Brussels: at the lobbyist “Deutsche Sozilaversicherung”, the representation of the Free State of Bavaria in its impressive building and at our representative of the CSU in Brussels, MEP Markus Ferber, who has a close connection to Bobingen. In Brussels, he let us in on some of the secrets of the parliament and explained a lot about current politics.
Another meeting and a nice chat with the magnificant Greek representative MEP Anna-Michelle Asimakopoulou, an evening reception of the „Bavarian Youth Assosiation“ on the occasion of the Youth Day in the Marstall followed by a reception in the beer garden of the Bavarian representation let us participate in Brussels life.
We took advantage of the varied programme of information and visits to the Parliament. A guided tour to the plenary hall, a visit to the “House of History” and the parliamentarium rounded off the informative programme about the EU.
The best Belgian fries, waffles and chocolate were tested. On the way to our Sunday excursion to the sea, we visited the historic city of “Bruges”.
The guided tour of Brussels, prepared with precision by the students, explained to us the sights.
Everyone who is interested in Europe and want to get actively involved in politics, a trip to Brussels is recommended. There is a wide range of job opportunities in many areas.
