Summary meeting in Portugal (October 2022)
Between 17 and 21 of October, all participant schools met at Agrupamento de Escolas Cego do Maio in Póvoa de Varzim (Portugal) as part of the Erasmus + project.
The first day of the mobility started at 8:30 at Escola Básica dos 2° e 3° Ciclos Cego do Maio.
Firstly the project participants watched the presentation about activities they are going to have during the week. After that the students had a small workshop about important skills for suggested activities. Then the teachers and students had a tour around the school. Coordinators and teachers discussed the expectations for the week, talked about the oncoming mobilities, agreed about the number of students to participate in the next trips.
Next the participants saw round the city and finally the students and teachers met the mayor of Povoa de Varzim. It was a very nice and interesting day.

The second day of the project was also filled with activities. The day began with a Greek partner’s creative workshop for ICT skills. The participants successfully performed the mission in the quest and created the Scratch programme.
The Pottery workshop followed the next. During this activity the students and teachers learned to create a human, observing the right proportions.
At the end of this day all the participants had a surf lesson, where they were taught how to surf. The weather wasn’t favorable because of a strong wind and rain, but the students did their best.

The third day of the program was also very interesing. It was a day of tour.
Early in the morning all the participants went to Porto. They walked through the centre, met beauty sights (São Bento Train Station, Av. Aliados Town Hall, Clérigos Tower), tasted the traditional kitchen – Franchesina. The students and teachers visited World of Discoveries museum, where they listened to a knowing lecture.
In the evening all the participants passed all the Porto bridges by a boat.

On Thursday Latvian team presented its creative workshop about a job interview.
The project’s participants were divided into six teams.
At first, they filled the test on the Kahoot platform, then drew an infographic about preparations for the interview. After that the students played a Job interview game. For feedback the teams created posters with recommendations and tips that will help to get a job.
Next in the day programme was a Mindfulness Session. The students and teachers participated in a meditation lesson.
In the afternoon the students were waiting for extreme activities. They went to adventure park Rates Park, where they had a lot of fun. They learned to act like a team to make a right decision.
In the evening the students with their host families had dinner together.

The final mobility day in Portugal was full of activities at school: summary and feedback for project’s activities during the week, students’ and teachers’ evaluation.
During the coffee break, we were introduced to volunteers travelling in Portugal and telling their stories about special Portuguese dishes.
All the students and teachers also were given the opportunity to taste them. They were delicious! Finally, the project participant received the certificates. It was the time to say goodbye and look forward to the next meeting.
